Precision fastening without the cost and complexity of a traditional controller

For applications that need reliable torque-controlled fastening with OK/NOK confirmation, Makita MTC offers a cost-effective cordless solution.

The integrated MTC module communicates directly with higher-level production controls via factory WLAN — without the need for a separate fastening controller.

When OK/NOK is all you need

Many smart tightening systems are designed to capture detailed information from every fastening cycle, including actual torque, angle and tightening curves.

That level of information is essential for critical joints. But many production applications simply don't need it.

For Class B and other non-critical fastening applications, the requirement may simply be to confirm that the fastener has been tightened correctly and prevent the operator from moving forward when a fastening is missed or NOK.

Makita MTC is designed for exactly this type of application.

The Makita tools use a mechanical clutch for torque control and provide OK/NOK fastening confirmation rather than measured torque and angle data. The result is a significantly simpler architecture for applications where full transducerized traceability would add unnecessary cost and complexity.

Makita's documentation specifically describes applications where torque, angle and screw curves are not required, but confirmation that the screw has been tightened to torque is sufficient.

From Cordless Fastening to a Connected Assembly Process

Makita + Ansomat Operator Guidance

Makita MTC becomes even more powerful when integrated with the Ansomat Operator Guidance System. While Makita provides reliable cordless fastening and MTC delivers the OK/NOK result, Ansomat connects that information to the complete assembly process.

Each fastening step can be linked to digital work instructions, allowing the system to guide the operator, verify that the required fastening has been completed correctly and record the result for process control and traceability. Makita documentation supports integration of fastening signals with higher-level production controls and operator-guided processes.

  • Makita provides the controlled cordless fastening.
  • MTC provides the connectivity and OK/NOK result.
  • Ansomat provides operator guidance, process control and traceability.

The result is a connected, error-proof assembly process without the cost and complexity of a traditional fastening controller.
