Spirit’s Project LEAD uses the Ansomatic system to demonstrates how off-the-shelf technologies can be integrated to form a next generation assembly environment. The Ansomatic system is responsible for the integration of smart tools, the display of digital and augmented reality work instructions, and the control of the method of manufacture. The LEAD Cell reacts to operators as they carry out build processes and captures data at each step. The LEAD Cell features part tracking and recognition, smart tools, augmented reality work instructions, legacy tooling control, utilities monitoring, and process tracking. The LEAD Cell enables in-process validation, improves process repeatability, and captures data at a much higher resolution than current methods
